New community centre dedicated to Gram Panchayat for social, educational and public welfare activities; villagers pledge to maintain the facility
TFP Bureau, Korba, July 29, 2026: Strengthening its commitment to rural development and community empowerment, the Adani Foundation inaugurated the newly constructed “Adani Bhavan” at Dhandhani Gram Panchayat in Korba district. The inauguration ceremony was marked by ribbon-cutting, traditional puja and havan rituals, followed by the formal handover of the building’s keys to the Gram Panchayat.
The keys were handed over by Adani Foundation Chief Business Officer Samir Mitra and AGM Dr. Vikas Thakur, dedicating the community facility to the residents of Dhandhani village. The event was attended by Gram Panchayat Sarpanch Kanhaiya Binjhwar, Deputy Sarpanch Resam Lal Binjhwar, Secretary Sadhram Diwan, Tajendra Banjare and the Adani Foundation team, along with public representatives, local dignitaries and a large number of villagers.
Addressing the gathering, Samir Mitra said the Adani Foundation’s vision extends beyond creating infrastructure to empowering rural communities through sustainable development initiatives. He said Adani Bhavan would serve as a vibrant centre for social, educational and community activities, while expressing confidence that villagers would make effective use of the facility and ensure its proper maintenance.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the village, Sarpanch Kanhaiya Binjhwar described Adani Bhavan as a valuable asset for the Gram Panchayat. He said the building would provide an ideal venue for village meetings, training programmes, self-help group activities and other community events. He also assured that the villagers would take collective responsibility for maintaining the building and continue supporting the Adani Foundation’s development initiatives.
The inauguration generated enthusiasm among villagers, who appreciated the Foundation’s continued contribution to rural development and public welfare. Community members said the new facility would create additional opportunities for social interaction, capacity building and community participation.
The villagers also pledged to preserve and maintain Adani Bhavan while extending full cooperation in future public welfare and development initiatives undertaken by the Adani Foundation.
Through its CSR initiatives, the Adani Foundation continues to implement programmes in education, healthcare, rural development and community empowerment across villages surrounding Korba Power Limited, contributing to the long-term socio-economic development of the region.
