TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 27, 2026: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai listened to the 138th episode of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s popular radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ at Eklavya Model Residential School in village Lamkanhar of Antagarh Development Block in Kanker district on September 27. Expressing happiness over Prime Minister Shri Modi’s mention of Chhattisgarh’s ‘Har Ghar Munga–Ghar-Ghar Munga’ campaign during the programme, the Chief Minister described it as a matter of pride for the entire state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi provides a national platform through ‘Mann Ki Baat’ to share positive changes and innovations driven by public participation across the country. The Prime Minister’s continued recognition of Chhattisgarh’s efforts acknowledges the hard work and participation of the state’s people. It not only recognises our local efforts but also inspires us to do better work.
The Chief Minister said the ‘Har Ghar Munga–Ghar-Ghar Munga’ campaign is an important initiative towards making Chhattisgarh’s fight against malnutrition more effective through public participation. Moringa is readily available and is also an important source of nutrition. Its leaves, fruits and flowers are used in food and contain several nutrients, including iron. He urged the villagers and students present to plant moringa at home and raise awareness of its nutritional benefits.
*Prime Minister Discusses Issues Ranging from Nutrition and Cleanliness to Environment and ‘Vocal for Local’
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in the 138th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’, interacted with citizens on several important issues, including India’s firm policy against terrorism, citizens’ participation in the Census, preservation of cultural heritage, cleanliness, environmental conservation, de-addiction, promotion of sporting talent and ‘Vocal for Local’.
Highlighting September as Poshan Maah, dedicated to the fight against malnutrition, the Prime Minister mentioned efforts underway to improve nutrition across the country. In this context, he spoke about the ‘Har Ghar Munga–Ghar-Ghar Munga’ campaign being implemented by the Women and Child Development Department in Chhattisgarh. Through this campaign, people are being encouraged to make nutritious munga, or moringa, a part of their daily diet and to plant moringa saplings.
*Chhattisgarh’s Innovations Continue to Find Mention in ‘Mann Ki Baat’
Chief Minister Shri Sai said it is a matter of pride for the state that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi continues to highlight Chhattisgarh’s public participation-based initiatives and innovations in ‘Mann Ki Baat’. Earlier, the Prime Minister had appreciated initiatives such as Bastar Pandum, Bastar Olympics, the historic copper plate discovered at Malhar and Koriya district’s ‘5 Per cent Water Conservation Model’.
The Chief Minister said Koriya district’s ‘5 Per cent Water Conservation Model’ is an effective solution that emerged from local needs and public participation. Under the model, farmers arrange water conservation on five per cent of their farmland. This makes water available for irrigating crops when needed and also helps raise groundwater levels. Such innovations show that even small initiatives, driven by public participation at the local level, can become the foundation for wider change.
He said Prime Minister Shri Modi, by bringing such initiatives before the country through ‘Mann Ki Baat’, encourages the people involved. At the same time, people in other parts of the country are also inspired to come forward to bring positive changes in their villages, cities and society.
*Region Moving on a New Path of Development After Emerging from the Impact of Naxalism
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that along with Bastar, this region of Kanker had also remained affected by Naxalism for a long time. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the firm resolve of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the indomitable courage of security personnel and the cooperation of local people, Chhattisgarh is rapidly moving towards freedom from Naxalism.
He said areas that once witnessed an atmosphere of fear and insecurity are now presenting a new picture of peace, confidence and development. As the environment of peace and security strengthens, new development opportunities are also emerging in remote areas.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said the Bastar region remained relatively distant from the mainstream of development for decades. Still, the government is now committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last village and the last person. Education, healthcare, roads, drinking water, communication, employment and other basic facilities are being rapidly expanded. Chhattisgarh continues to receive support from Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the Central Government. The State Government is also working with commitment to accelerate prosperity and development along with peace in the region.
*Rs 85 Lakh Development Works Announced for Lamkanhar
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai announced various development works worth a total of Rs 85 lakh to expand education, infrastructure, and community facilities in village Lamkanhar.
The Chief Minister announced Rs 15 lakh for the construction of a community building near Sheetla Temple in Lamkanhar, Rs 37 lakh for the construction of primary and middle school buildings, Rs 18 lakh for the construction of a CC road in Chhote Para, and Rs 15 lakh for a library and laboratory at Eklavya Model Residential School, Lamkanhar.
The Chief Minister said the State Government is consistently working to strengthen education and basic infrastructure in remote and tribal areas. Providing children with a better educational environment and modern facilities is a government priority. The development works announced in Lamkanhar will provide better facilities to both villagers and students.
*Chief Minister Plants Guava Sapling under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign
Following the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai planted a guava sapling on the premises of Eklavya Model Residential School under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. He called upon those present to plant more trees for environmental conservation and ensure their regular care and protection.
The Chief Minister said environmental conservation is a shared responsibility of the government and every individual in society. Every sapling planted today will strengthen the foundation for a clean and safe environment for future generations.
School students and villagers also listened to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme. MP Shri Bhojraj Nag, Antagarh MLA Shri Vikram Usendi, along with public representatives, officials and employees, school students and a large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
