Speaking on the occasion of National Space Day, the Prime Minister highlighted the government’s reforms in the space sector, which have paved the way for startups, private players, and young innovators to contribute actively to the nation’s space journey.
In a message shared through posts on X (formerly Twitter) in response to MyGovIndia’s thread on India’s space achievements and the rise of Indian space startups, PM Modi expressed confidence that India will scale even greater heights in the coming years. “Powered by the skills of 140 crore Indians, our country is making remarkable strides in the world of space. And, we are going to do even more!” he wrote.
Reforms Encouraging Youth and Startups
The Prime Minister underlined that the opening up of the space sector has transformed the ecosystem, enabling new-age startups and private enterprises to participate in research, satellite launches, and deep-space exploration. He emphasized that these initiatives have given young entrepreneurs and researchers the confidence to “explore new frontiers” and contribute meaningfully to India’s scientific advancements.
Building a Stronger Space Future
PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to empower India’s space program, ensuring that it continues to inspire generations and strengthen the nation’s global standing. He lauded the dedication of scientists, engineers, and innovators whose contributions are shaping India into a key player in the international space community.
