Finance Minister urges young people to participate in community service and social initiatives during Yuva Samvad
TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 1,2026: The Seva Sankalp Yatra, a bike journey from Vadnagar in Gujarat to Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh, reached Janjgir on Thursday, where Finance Minister and district in-charge minister O.P. Choudhary joined the participants and interacted with young people.
The yatra, organised as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan marking 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public life, was welcomed by public representatives, youth and local residents. Choudhary joined the bike rally and interacted with the participants during a Yuva Samvad programme. The youths undertaking the journey were felicitated with shawls and bouquets.
Addressing the gathering, Choudhary said the 25-year public life of Modi represented a period of public service and national development. He urged young people to contribute to social service and development initiatives and said their energy, talent and ideas could play an important role in the country’s development.
He also stressed the need to preserve cultural heritage alongside economic and infrastructure development. He called upon young people to participate in community activities and contribute to the development of Chhattisgarh and the country.
Focus on youth participation
Janjgir-Champa MP Kamlesh Jangde said the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, being conducted from September 17 to October 17, sought to promote public participation and the spirit of service. She appreciated the participation of young people in the Vadnagar-Varanasi journey and said their involvement would help take the message of social responsibility to different sections of society.
Former Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel welcomed the participants and said the campaign was aimed at taking the message of service, development and governance to villages and communities. He encouraged the youth taking part in the journey and wished them well.
The programme was attended by Jangde, Beltara MLA Sushant Shukla, public representatives, citizens and a large number of young people.
