Digital India vision depicted through Rangoli at Jashpur’s Ranjita Stadium

Tourism Minister Rajesh Agrawal lights lamps around artwork highlighting digital connectivity, e-governance and environmental conservation

TFP Bureau,Raipur, October 6, 2026: The vision of a digitally connected and technology-enabled India was depicted through a large Rangoli at Ranjita Stadium in Jashpur under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’.

Created using colours and creative motifs, the artwork showcased themes including digital connectivity, e-governance, technological empowerment, environmental conservation and sustainable development.

Tourism and Culture Minister Rajesh Agrawal, who visited the stadium to view the Rangoli, lit lamps placed around the artwork. MLA Raimuni Bhagat was also present.

Agrawal said the expansion of digital technology had made several government services more accessible to citizens and improved convenience in sectors such as education, healthcare and banking. He said digital connectivity could help bridge the gap between citizens, particularly those in remote areas, and public services.

Wi-Fi, e-governance and technology featured

The central portion of the Rangoli featured the ‘Digital India’ theme, with a Wi-Fi symbol representing expanding internet connectivity and digital access.

Images of computers and cloud technology depicted digital services and online information, while mobile phones and government buildings represented e-governance and the delivery of government services through digital platforms.

A map of India held between two hands symbolised technological empowerment and the inclusion of citizens in the development process. Coloured digital lines running across the map represented connectivity between different parts of the country.

Green leaves and plant motifs incorporated into the design highlighted environmental protection and sustainable development alongside technological progress.

The phrase “Connected India, Stronger India” formed part of the artwork, highlighting the theme of connectivity and digital empowerment. Lamps placed around the Rangoli were used to represent light, knowledge, positivity and Indian cultural traditions.

The artwork brought together themes of digital connectivity, e-governance, good governance, environmental conservation and self-reliance within a single visual presentation.

Municipal Council President Arvind Bhagat, Janpad Panchayat President Gangaram Bhagat, Collector Rohit Vyas, Senior Superintendent of Police Dr Lal Umed Singh and District Panchayat CEO Abhishek Kumar were among those present.
