32nd Mahtari Vandan instalment to be released on October 8

₹632.40 crore to be transferred through DBT to 67.38 lakh beneficiaries; total disbursement under scheme to cross ₹20,708 crore

TFP Bureau,Raipur, October 8, 2026: The 32nd instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be released to eligible women beneficiaries on October 8, with ₹632.40 crore set to be transferred directly into the bank accounts of 67,38,217 beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai will release the instalment at a programme in Durg. The scheme has been operational in Chhattisgarh since March 1, 2024.

According to the Women and Child Development Department, 70,27,154 women had applied for the scheme, of whom 70,09,578 eligible beneficiaries received the first financial assistance instalment on March 10, 2024.

The scheme provides financial assistance through DBT, with the funds intended to support women’s social and economic empowerment and contribute to efforts to address malnutrition and anaemia.

Since its inception, ₹20,075.71 crore has been approved and disbursed to beneficiaries through 31 instalments. With the release of the 32nd instalment, the cumulative amount disbursed under the scheme will increase to ₹20,708.11 crore.

For the October 2026 instalment, the updated beneficiary data shows 68,52,661 eligible beneficiaries. Of these, 67,31,314 beneficiaries who have completed the required process will receive the payment. In addition, 6,903 beneficiaries from Niyad Nellanar who were awaiting approval for their 12th instalment have been included, taking the total number of beneficiaries receiving the 32nd instalment to 67,38,217.

The department said the amount would be transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the DBT system.
