CM Vishnu Deo Sai to Meet Textile & Steel Industry Titans in Mumbai

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 22, 2025 – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai will lead a delegation to Mumbai on April 23-24 to participate in high-profile national events aimed at showcasing Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy. The two-day engagement, held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon, will focus on the textile and steel sectors, with an emphasis on attracting investments and presenting the state’s infrastructure vision.

During this visit, CM Sai will introduce the state’s revamped industrial policies, designed to foster investment, simplify regulatory processes, and create sector-specific incentives. His participation in these events highlights the state’s commitment to becoming a hub for industry growth.

Day 1: Dialogue with Textile Industry Leaders at CMAI Fab Show

On April 23, CM Sai will attend the CMAI Fab Show, a premier event for India’s textile industry hosted by the Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI). This event brings together key players from apparel manufacturing, exports, and branding, providing a platform for high-level discussions on investment opportunities. The Chief Minister will focus on the support Chhattisgarh offers the textile sector, including land, logistics, power subsidies, and export facilitation. Several investment proposals and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) are expected to be finalized with select companies.

Day 2: National Showcase of Chhattisgarh’s Steel Sector in PM Modi’s Presence

On April 24, CM Sai will participate in India Steel 2025, an event that will be inaugurated in the presence of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who will address the gathering virtually. As a special guest, CM Sai will deliver a keynote presentation positioning Chhattisgarh as a growing force in the steel industry. He will highlight the state’s plans to develop specialized steel clusters, enhance logistics corridors, and streamline regulatory processes.

That day, a Chhattisgarh Round Table will be organized where CM Sai will engage in one-on-one discussions with potential investors. The focus will be on industrial clusters for steel, simplified clearances, and pro-labour policies designed to accelerate industrial growth.

Chhattisgarh Pavilion: A Comprehensive Investment Showcase

In addition to these sessions, CM Sai will visit the Chhattisgarh Pavilion, which will feature an immersive experience of the state’s industrial ecosystem. The pavilion will provide detailed insights into the state’s infrastructure, investment opportunities, and policy support designed to attract potential investors and business partners.

Media Interaction at Bombay Exhibition Centre

Throughout the two-day event, CM Sai will hold media interactions at 1 PM on both April 23 and 24. During these briefings, he will update the press on the key takeaways from the events, as well as discuss Chhattisgarh’s strategic role in India’s evolving industrial landscape.
