TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 3, 2025: In a groundbreaking move set to propel India into the digital age, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai today laid the foundation stone for India’s first Artificial Intelligence-based Data Center Park in Sector-22 of Nava Raipur. This state-of-the-art park, covering 13.5 acres, is a crucial milestone in India’s goal to become a global leader in digital technology.
The AI Data Center Park will feature a 2.7-hectare Special Economic Zone (SEZ), operated by RackBank Datacenters Private Limited. Focused entirely on AI services, the center’s first phase will begin with a 5-megawatt capacity, with plans for future expansion to 150 megawatts. The project is expected to attract an additional investment of ₹2,000 crore and will be designed with a strong emphasis on environmental sustainability, incorporating green technologies and energy-efficient systems.
Apart from traditional data storage, the center will provide cutting-edge services in fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), HealthTech, Defense, FinTech, and Data Analytics. With GPU-based computing infrastructure and advanced AI processing capabilities, the park will offer world-class facilities for live data streaming, AI research, and high-performance computing.
Creating Jobs and Empowering Local Talent
The development is set to create 500 direct and 1,500 indirect jobs, with a focus on employing local youth. This initiative will position Chhattisgarh as a technology hub, unlocking opportunities for talent in the state. With services like AI processing, data analytics, and GPU-based computing under one roof, the park will stimulate innovation across sectors such as HealthTech, FinTech, Smart Agriculture, and Defense.

“This is not just a data center; it’s the digital backbone for a new era of growth and empowerment,” CM Vishnu Deo Sai said, underscoring the transformative impact the project will have on the state. He emphasized that the park will create vast opportunities for the youth, farmers, and tribal communities of Chhattisgarh, making the state the heartbeat of Digital India.
How Will Chhattisgarh Benefit from the Data Center Park?
New Employment Opportunities:
The establishment of the Data Center Park will create thousands of jobs in IT, data analytics, and technical support, offering Chhattisgarh’s youth the chance to build careers in technology without leaving the state.
Support for Farmers:
AI-driven smart farming technologies will offer farmers real-time data, accurate weather forecasts, and improved crop management, leading to enhanced agricultural productivity and better incomes.
Digital Access for Tribal Communities:
The park will provide digital access to essential services like education, healthcare, and government schemes, empowering remote tribal areas and bridging the digital divide.
Self-Reliance for Chhattisgarh:
By handling both domestic and international data traffic, the Data Center Park will boost government service delivery and make Chhattisgarh self-reliant in its digital infrastructure.
This ambitious project is not only a game-changer for the state’s economy but also a key step toward realizing India’s vision of becoming a global digital leader.
