India Thwarts Drone Intrusion in Amritsar Under ‘Operation Sindoor’

TFP Bureau, New Delhi, May 10, 2025: In a significant escalation along the western front, the Indian Army launched ‘Operation Sindoor’ early Friday morning after multiple armed drones from Pakistan were detected violating Indian airspace over Khasa Cantonment in Amritsar.

According to official information posted by the Indian Army on X (formerly Twitter), the incident occurred around 5 AM, when several enemy drones carrying munitions were spotted entering Indian territory. The Army’s air defence units responded immediately, successfully engaging and destroying all hostile targets before they could inflict any damage.

The Army condemned the provocation, stating: “Pakistan’s blatant attempt to violate India’s sovereignty and endanger civilians is unacceptable. Indian Army will thwart enemy designs.”

This latest incident marks a sharp rise in cross-border aggression, as Pakistan continues drone incursions and attempts to destabilize the region. Defence analysts say the swift neutralization demonstrates India’s heightened preparedness and commitment to protecting its territorial integrity.

Security has been further tightened in border districts, with continued aerial surveillance and readiness across all formations.
