TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 1, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai handed over five kayaking boats to the Mahalaxmi Mahila Self Help Group at the ancient Shiva temple complex in Bhongapal village, Kondagaon district. Alongside, he distributed materials to the Joint Forest Management Committee for the inauguration of the bamboo boating center at Tamurra Nala. Engaging closely with women’s group president Sunita Nag and members, the Chief Minister also planted a Peepal tree under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, emphasizing environmental conservation and community welfare. Prominent leaders, including Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Industry Minister Lakhanlal Devangan, and Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, were present to witness the event.
Launch of Milk Animal Supply Scheme to Foster Dairy Entrepreneurship

In a significant boost to rural livelihoods, the Chief Minister officially launched the Milk Animal Supply Scheme under the Dairy Samagra Vikas Yojana from Bhongapal. The initiative distributed milk animals to eight tribal beneficiaries as part of a pilot project targeting 325 Scheduled Tribe families across six districts: Jashpur, Balrampur, Kanker, Kondagaon, Mahasamund, and Sarangarh Bilaigarh. Supported by the National Dairy Development Board and implemented through the Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Milk Federation, the scheme aims to elevate women’s self-employment opportunities, improve milk production, and uplift the socio-economic conditions of tribal communities. The launch was attended by dignitaries including MP Mahesh Kashyap and Buddhist religious leader Bhadant Arya Nagarjun Surai Sasai.

On the occasion of Buddha Jayanti, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, along with Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, led prayers at the 6th century Chaitya in Bhongapal, home to an ancient statue of Lord Gautam Buddha. Buddhist monks from Bodh Gaya performed sacred rituals, invoking blessings for the state’s prosperity and well-being. The event attracted public officials and a large gathering of Buddhist followers, underscoring Bhongapal’s significance as a revered religious and tourist site.
