Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai Highlights Role of Devangan and Chandranahu Kurmi Kshatriya Communities in Chhattisgarh’s Progress

Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai praised the community for its hardworking spirit and contributions as advanced farmers and businessmen. He highlighted their leadership in education, culture, agriculture, and commerce, emphasizing their critical role in shaping a developed Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister appealed to the community members to actively participate in realizing the vision of a prosperous and progressive state. He also detailed government initiatives like the Mahtari Vandan scheme empowering women through financial support and self-employment opportunities, and the state-wide Sushasan Tihaar campaign that has resolved over 41 lakh public grievances, showcasing a strong commitment to good governance and digital transparency.

Chandranahu Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj’s Historic Legacy and Developmental Role Recognized


In a separate event in Kolihapuri village, Durg district, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai lauded the Chandranahu Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj for its glorious past and pivotal role in the state’s development. Referencing legendary rulers and freedom fighters from the community, the Chief Minister noted their dedication to farming and self-respect. He highlighted ongoing government efforts to strengthen agriculture through campaigns like ‘Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ which connects scientists with farmers to promote modern and organic farming techniques. The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure fair prices for crops, boost milk production through animal husbandry, and encourage millet cultivation with processing units under development. He also praised the state’s new industrial policies attracting investments worth over Rs 5.5 lakh crore, skill training programs for youth, and extensive social welfare schemes benefiting women, elderly, and farmers alike.

Chief Minister Sai emphasized the importance of strong social institutions and educated, organized communities in building a prosperous state. He urged all social groups to unite in the shared goal of development through education, service, and awareness. With robust administrative reforms promoting transparency and digital governance, the government is fostering an inclusive growth model rooted in cultural pride and economic empowerment.
