In a series of posts shared on social media platform X, PM Modi noted, “Our mothers, sisters, and daughters once faced obstacles at every step. But today, they are not just participants in India’s development story—they are setting examples in education, business, science, and even the armed forces.”

The Prime Minister reflected on a decade-long journey of transformation, asserting that the government’s mission has always centered around “empowering Nari Shakti”. He highlighted several flagship schemes that have redefined the socio-economic landscape for women:

  • Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which brought dignity through sanitation and hygiene, especially in rural India.
  • Jan Dhan Yojana, which enabled financial inclusion by opening bank accounts for millions of women.
  • Ujjwala Yojana, which brought clean cooking fuel to over 9 crore households, ensuring smoke-free kitchens.
  • MUDRA Yojana, which helped lakhs of women become entrepreneurs.
  • PM Awas Yojana, under which homes were registered in women’s names, enhancing their financial and social security.
  • Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, a campaign that turned into a national movement for the protection and education of the girl child.

The Prime Minister underlined how women are now emerging as leaders in sectors like Startups, sports, education, science, and defense, proving that with the right support, they can surpass every challenge.
