Chhattisgarh Embraces Digital Revolution Under CM Vishnu Dev Sai’s Leadership

Raipur, June 25, 2025: Chhattisgarh is witnessing a sweeping digital transformation, with cutting-edge technology reshaping governance and citizen services across the state. Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state is emerging as a front-runner in realizing the objectives of Digital India.

With a strong push for e-governance, the Chhattisgarh government has expanded digital services from the state secretariat to gram panchayats. In 1,460 panchayats, elderly pensioners and beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana are now able to withdraw DBT amounts through Atal Digital Seva Kendras, eliminating the need to visit distant bank branches.

E-Office and Transparent Administration

After the successful rollout of the e-office system in state ministries and directorates, the government is now extending the system to district offices. This move has reduced paperwork, minimized delays, and enhanced decision-making speed. File movements have become smoother, faster, and more transparent, boosting overall administrative efficiency.

Reforms in Land and Revenue Services

Ten key digital services have simplified land and property registration. Citizens can now complete registration from home using Aadhaar-based appointments. Post-registration, automatic property mutation has further streamlined the process.

Geo-referencing of 14,490 villages has been completed, improving land records and aiding in dispute resolution. For the Kharif season 2025–26, over 14,000 villages are participating in a digital crop survey. E-court systems have also accelerated the resolution of revenue cases.

Real-Time Monitoring and Procurement Transparency

Government schemes and programs are being closely monitored via the Atal Monitoring Portal. Meanwhile, the mandatory use of the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal has improved transparency and accountability in public procurement.

Digital Services for Pensioners and Employees

Retired employees now receive key documents such as e-PPOs, GPF statements, final payment orders, and pension certificates through DigiLocker. The Employee Corner mobile app and web portal have digitized government employee records and service updates.

AI Data Center and Digital Infrastructure Growth

Chhattisgarh is poised to become a tech powerhouse with the establishment of India’s first Artificial Intelligence Data Center Park in Nava Raipur. This initiative is set to boost the state’s digital economy and create a distinct identity in AI-powered services.

Technology-Driven Health and Resource Management

The Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited (CGMSCL) has introduced an app to track drug supplies in real-time, significantly improving the availability of essential medicines in tribal and remote areas.

The Mineral Department’s online transit pass system has enhanced transparency and efficiency in mineral transport. Additionally, the launch of the CMO portal has facilitated seamless communication between citizens and the state government.

Digital Empowerment at Every Level

These transformative digital initiatives are simplifying governance, enhancing transparency, and improving public service delivery across both urban and rural regions. From gram panchayats to AI hubs, Chhattisgarh is fast becoming a model state for technology-led development.
