Chhattisgarh Advances Industrial Growth with Launch of Aspire Pharmaceuticals Unit in Nava Raipur

TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 19, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the newly established Aspire Pharmaceuticals unit in Sector-05 of Nava Raipur on Saturday, marking a significant step forward in Chhattisgarh’s industrial development. The facility, set up in response to the medicine shortages experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic, is expected to boost pharmaceutical production and create employment opportunities for local youth.

During his visit, the Chief Minister toured the plant and observed the drug manufacturing process. He commended the state-of-the-art, fully automated unit, which will produce a range of medicines including tablets, syrups, ointments, and creams.

Speaking at the inauguration, CM Sai highlighted that Chhattisgarh’s new industrial policy is yielding strong results. “In the past 7–8 months alone, we have received investment proposals worth over ₹6 lakh crore, and several projects are already underway,” he said. He emphasized the government’s commitment to creating employment through industry by offering special incentives to investors.

Reflecting on the state’s journey over the last 25 years, the Chief Minister acknowledged the foundational contributions of former CM Dr. Raman Singh. “He eliminated hunger and laid the groundwork in health, education, and infrastructure,” Sai said. He noted that the number of medical colleges in the state has grown from just one at the time of formation to 15 today. He also cited the expansion of healthcare facilities, including the opening of six specialty hospitals in the last 18 months, as a testament to the state’s progress.

CM Sai reiterated the government’s long-term vision under the “Viksit Chhattisgarh 2047” roadmap. The state’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), currently ₹5 lakh crore, is targeted to double to ₹10 lakh crore by 2030 and reach ₹75 lakh crore by 2047. “Achieving this goal will require the collective support of the people,” he said.

Former Chief Minister and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh praised the launch of Aspire Pharmaceuticals as an inspiring development for Chhattisgarh’s pharma sector. He recalled India’s leadership during the global health crisis and noted that the demand for Indian pharmaceuticals was felt even in developed nations. “Nava Raipur is now emerging as a hub for industrial growth due to its ideal location and excellent connectivity,” he added.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, and multiple MLAs and senior officials. From Aspire Pharmaceuticals, Shri Komalchand Chopra, Shri Anil Deshlahara, and Shri Ujjwal Deepak were present, along with a large gathering of stakeholders and guests.

The launch of Aspire Pharmaceuticals is seen as a milestone in Chhattisgarh’s journey toward becoming an industrially advanced and employment-rich state.
