TFP Bureau, Korba,July 28, 2025: Balco Mahila Mandal marked the vibrant Teej Festival with great enthusiasm and cultural splendor. The celebrations commenced with the ceremonial lighting of lamps, Ganesh Stuti, and the resonant sound of shankhnaad, setting a festive tone for the event. Over 65 members showcased their rich cultural heritage through traditional attire and spirited performances.
The festival featured a range of traditional cultural presentations and a Teej competition that celebrated grace and talent. Winners were crowned in six distinct categories: Teej Queen – Seema Sahu, First Runner-up – Alka Prithvikar, Second Runner-up – Ila Chhugani, Miss Stunning Beauty – Anuradha, Miss Elegant Simplicity – Simran Jain, and Miss Traditional Pageant – Honey Deole. The event not only celebrated Indian cultural traditions but also fostered mutual harmony and camaraderie among club members.

Organized under the capable leadership of Club President Mrs. Manisha Kumar and guided by the advisory board members—Mrs. Vinita Singh, Mrs. Rama Dwivedi, Mrs. Vandana Sharma, and Mrs. Divya Ojha—the program was a testament to the club’s commitment to community and culture. Secretary Mrs. Sushmita Srivastava and Treasurer Mrs. Pallavi Patil expressed heartfelt thanks to all members and the chief guest for their support in making the event successful. Key contributions were also acknowledged from members Mrs. Monica Kochar, Mrs. Ankita Singh, Mrs. Shivani Prasad, Mrs. Jagriti Singh, and Mrs. Neetu Verma.
Balco Mahila Mandal has recently been active in several community initiatives, including tree plantation drives on World Environment Day, yoga sessions on International Yoga Day, social awareness through dance performances on World Social Media Day, and a lively Antakshari competition on World Music Day, further strengthening its role in the upliftment of Balconagar through cultural engagement.
