TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 30, 2025 // Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai marked the auspicious occasion of Navratri with a series of spiritual and cultural engagements in Korba and Ratanpur, underscoring the state’s deep-rooted religious traditions and cultural pride.
During his one-day tour of Korba, the Chief Minister attended the Shri Ram Katha Mahotsav at the Bhawani Temple premises, where he paid his respects to Jagadguru Shri Shri 1008 Ramabhadracharya and sought his blessings for the peace and prosperity of Chhattisgarh. Addressing devotees, he recalled the sacred significance of Chhattisgarh as the maternal home of Mata Kaushalya and the maternal grandparents’ home of Lord Ram. He announced that the Bhawani Temple site would now be renamed as Kaushalya Dham to honor this spiritual legacy.
At the newly constructed Kaushalya Dham temple, the Chief Minister performed traditional rituals amid Vedic chants, offering prayers for the well-being of the state. He bowed before the idol of Mata Kaushalya depicted with child Ram, which drew particular devotion from the gathered crowd. Inspecting the temple premises, Shri Sai praised the construction and engaged warmly with devotees and public representatives who extended him a heartfelt welcome.
Later, Shri Sai participated in the Ramleela Mahotsav at the Ghantaghar Open Theatre Ground in Korba. Extending Navratri greetings, he described the festival as a celebration of devotion, strength, and harmony, adding that Ramleela continues to inspire society with the ideals of Lord Ram. Recalling his childhood memories of watching Ramleela performances, the Chief Minister commended the organizers for keeping alive this important cultural tradition. He and other guests were honored with a replica of the Ram Darbar, shawls, and coconuts. Ministers, local leaders, and a large number of devotees joined the festivities.
Continuing his Navratri engagements, CM Sai visited the historic Mahamaya temple in Ratanpur, one of the most revered Shaktipeeths of the region. There, he offered prayers to Goddess Mahamaya, seeking blessings for the prosperity and happiness of the people of Chhattisgarh. Interacting with devotees, he conveyed his heartfelt Navratri greetings and praised the spirit of devotion witnessed at the temple.
The Ratanpur event was attended by MLA Sushant Shukla, District Panchayat President Rajesh Suryavanshi, District President Deepak Singh Thakur, Collector Sanjay Agrawal, Senior Superintendent of Police Rajnesh Singh, and members of the Mahamaya Trust, along with a large number of devotees.
By participating in these significant spiritual events and announcing the renaming of Bhawani Temple site as Kaushalya Dham, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai not only reinforced Chhattisgarh’s historical connection with Lord Ram but also highlighted his government’s commitment to preserving the state’s cultural and spiritual identity.
