Deadline for Online Nursing Admissions Extended by Three Days

TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 15, 2025: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) has announced an extension of the deadline for online applications to various nursing courses in Chhattisgarh. The new deadline allows candidates to submit their applications until 5:00 pm on October 17, 2025, providing an additional three days beyond the earlier cutoff of October 14. The extension aims to accommodate students who were unable to complete their applications due to technical or procedural delays.

According to the notification issued by the Chairman of the Counseling Committee for Nursing Admissions, applications for B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing, and Post-Basic Diploma in Psychiatric Nursing courses will continue to be accepted online through the official portal of the Directorate of Medical Education at www.cgdme.in. Admissions to these courses will be conducted through a centralized counseling process, and all related updates, including counseling schedules and seat allotment details, will be published on the same website.

As per the DME, candidates belonging to the unreserved and other backward classes (OBC) are required to pay an online application fee of ₹1,000, while Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates must pay ₹500. In case of any errors in the submitted application, a correction fee of ₹1,000 has been fixed. However, no changes will be permitted to the registered email address or mobile number during the correction process.

Applicants are required to carefully select their preferred institutions at the time of application submission, as no further opportunities for modification will be provided. The DME has emphasized that all required documents must be uploaded and fees paid through the designated bank gateway before the final deadline. Incomplete applications or failure to complete the payment process will lead to automatic disqualification. To avoid last-minute issues, candidates are advised to finalize their applications at least 24 hours before the closing time on October 17.

The Directorate has also clarified that candidates allocated seats in the first round of counseling must undergo mandatory document verification to confirm their eligibility. Admission to a government nursing college has been made compulsory, and failure to enroll in the allotted government institution may result in the candidate being declared ineligible for further rounds.

Once the application window closes, candidates will be able to view the detailed counseling schedule, seat allotment process, and reporting instructions on the department’s website. The DME has reiterated its commitment to conducting the admission process in a transparent, student-friendly, and merit-based manner, ensuring equal opportunities for all eligible applicants across the state.
