Applications Open for Stenography and Typing Exam in Chhattisgarh Till October 30

TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 17, 2025: The Chhattisgarh Shorthand and Typing Skills Examination Council has invited online applications for the upcoming Stenography and Typing Computer Skills Test. Eligible candidates can apply through the Council’s official website (https://ctsp.cg.nic.in) until October 30, 2025. The examination will assess typing and shorthand proficiency in both Hindi and English languages, with speeds set at 100 words per minute for stenography and 5,000, 8,000, and 10,000 key depressions per hour for computer typing.

Candidates who have passed the Class 10 examination and have attained a minimum age of 16 years can apply. The Council has advised applicants to carefully review all details before submitting their forms, as no corrections will be allowed after submission. Examination centers will be allotted based on availability and proximity, and candidates must appear at their designated centers only.

Applicants are required to upload a recent, clear, passport-size color photograph and a specimen signature in black ink. Side-posed photos will not be accepted. Both the photograph and signature must be scanned and uploaded in the specified sections of the application form.

As per the official notification, candidates from the Unreserved and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories will be required to pay an examination fee of ₹400 for the Hindi-English Shorthand Test, while candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) categories will pay ₹200. For the Hindi and English computer typing exams, the fee will be ₹300 for General and OBC candidates and ₹150 for SC/ST candidates.

The Council has clarified that incomplete or inaccurate applications, or those containing misleading information, may be rejected without prior notice, and fees will not be refunded. Candidates can apply for separate typing speeds (5,000, 8,000, or 10,000 depressions per hour) in one language—either Hindi or English—but cannot select different exam centers for the same test. Multiple applications for the same speed test from different centers will lead to cancellation.

Applicants are advised to retain a printed copy of the online application form and the payment receipt for future reference. After applications are reviewed, admit cards will be issued online and must be downloaded by the candidates. The examination center mentioned on the admit card will be final.

To enter the examination hall, candidates must present their admit card along with an original government-issued photo ID such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, or driving license. Without these, entry will not be permitted.

For shorthand tests, candidates will be provided with an official shorthand booklet from the Board. After transcribing the shorthand text on a computer, candidates must sign the printout and the shorthand booklet, writing their name and roll number at the designated spot.

Electronic gadgets including mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, and microphones will be strictly prohibited in the examination hall. Candidates may only carry their admit card, photo ID, a black ballpoint pen, pencil, and eraser.

For the computer typing skill test, the question paper will be displayed on the computer screen five minutes before the test begins. Candidates will start typing after receiving instructions from the invigilators by pressing the “Start” button. The test will automatically conclude after 15 minutes.

The Council has emphasized that all instructions should be followed carefully to ensure a smooth examination process and has urged candidates to apply well before the closing date of October 30.
