TFP Bureau, Raipur, October 17, 2025: In a gesture reflecting administrative sensitivity and employee welfare, the Chhattisgarh Government has announced that salaries for October 2025 will be released in advance on October 17 and 18, ahead of the Diwali festival. The decision, taken on the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, aims to ensure that all government officers and employees can celebrate the festival of lights with joy and without financial strain.
Chief Minister Shri Sai described the government workforce as an extended family rather than merely a system, stating that this decision symbolizes the bond between the administration and its employees. “The government should share in the happiness of every colleague and bring light and joy to every home,” he said. “Diwali represents happiness, unity, and enthusiasm, and this step ensures that every officer and employee can celebrate the festival with their families without any inconvenience.”
Following the Chief Minister’s directive, Finance Minister Shri O.P. Choudhary has instructed all departments to take necessary steps to facilitate the timely release of salaries. To ensure a smooth disbursement process, all treasuries and sub-treasuries across the state will remain open on October 18 (Saturday), despite it being a holiday.
The state government has also clarified that, in addition to salaries, advance payments for wages, honorariums, and remunerations may be made as per existing financial rules.
Chief Minister Sai emphasized that the advance salary decision will not only bring financial comfort to state employees but will also stimulate local markets and economic activity. “This move will enhance purchasing power, increase business momentum, and strengthen the flow of economic activity during the festive period,” he stated. He added that the decision would particularly benefit local traders, artisans, and small entrepreneurs by infusing fresh vibrancy into the state’s economy.
Reiterating his government’s commitment to the welfare and dignity of public servants, Chief Minister Sai said, “Every decision of the government is linked to the happiness and respect of its hardworking colleagues. The advance payment of salaries before Diwali is a symbol of our shared spirit—that light should spread in every home and the lamp of happiness and faith should burn in every heart.”
