Special Intensive Revision Drive Reaches 99% Voter Coverage

TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 18, 2025: Chhattisgarh’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Campaign of the electoral roll has gained significant momentum, with nearly 99 per cent of registered voters receiving count forms during the ongoing door-to-door verification exercise. The campaign, launched on November 4 under the directives of the Election Commission of India, aims to update and verify the state’s voter database ahead of the final publication of rolls.

Booth Level Officers (BLOs) deployed across all Assembly constituencies are conducting household visits to distribute and compile the forms. By Tuesday evening, officials confirmed that around 2.7 million count forms had already been digitized, marking steady progress in the statewide enumeration process.

To enhance voter convenience, the Election Commission has introduced several digital and support initiatives. Voters can now fill out the count form online via the voters.eci.gov.in portal, while assistance is available through the helpline number 1950. Help desks at district and tehsil offices have also been set up to support citizens in completing the forms.

Volunteers have been appointed in every Assembly constituency, and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) from recognised political parties are assisting in ensuring accurate and timely submission of count forms.

In accordance with the Election Commission’s guidelines, District Election Officers (DEOs), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), and Assistant EROs are continuously monitoring polling station-level activities. Municipal Commissioners, designated as Additional District Election Officers, are overseeing the digitization process to ensure accuracy and speed.

Chief Electoral Officer of Chhattisgarh, Shri Yashwant Kumar, urged voters not to wait until the December 4 deadline and to submit their enumeration forms promptly, either online or offline.

The CEO’s office is actively disseminating information through its social media platforms on Facebook, X and Instagram, sharing instructional videos and updates on form submission procedures and name search in the 2023 voter list to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for all voters.
