In a message shared on social media, the Vice-President paid homage to the fallen personnel, stating that their sacrifice would forever remain etched in the nation’s memory. He said the courage and selflessness displayed by the martyrs continue to inspire citizens to work collectively towards building a strong, resilient, and secure India. Emphasising the enduring legacy of their service, he said the nation remains eternally grateful to the bravehearts who gave their lives in the line of duty.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also recalled the Pulwama heroes on the anniversary of the attack that took place in 2019, describing their devotion, resolve, and service to the nation as an everlasting source of inspiration. In a post on X, the Prime Minister said that every Indian draws strength from the courage and commitment of the martyrs, whose sacrifice continues to live on in the country’s collective consciousness.
“Remembering the brave heroes who laid down their lives in Pulwama on this day in 2019. Their devotion, resolve and service to the nation remain forever etched in our collective consciousness. Every Indian draws strength from their enduring courage,” the Prime Minister said.
