Government Allots A Civil Lines Bungalow for Raipur Police Commissioner’s Office Use

Temporary arrangement to remain in force for two years or until permanent facility is provided

TFP Bureau, Raipur, February 15,2026: The Chhattisgarh Government has allotted a government residential property in Civil Lines for use as the official office of the Police Commissioner, Raipur district, under a temporary administrative arrangement aimed at ensuring smooth functioning of police operations in the state capital.

The order, issued by the Home Department, Chhattisgarh, states that House No. C-3 in Civil Lines has been sanctioned for official use for a period of two years or until a new building is arranged, whichever is earlier. Officials said the allotment has been approved in anticipation of vacancy and after due coordination among concerned authorities.

According to the directive, the premises must be vacated immediately once the allotted period ends or when a permanent office building becomes available. After vacating, possession must be handed over to the colony in-charge, and confirmation must be promptly communicated to the Home Department as well as the housing authorities.

The order clearly specifies that the government residence is to be used strictly for official purposes only. Authorities have been instructed to send occupation details without delay, and any deviation from the stated conditions may lead to cancellation of the allotment.

The department also directed that all provisions of the Chhattisgarh Government Housing Allotment Rules, 2000 must be followed. Non-compliance with these rules will be treated seriously and could result in withdrawal of the facility.

The notification was issued in the name of the Governor and digitally signed by Dhursingh Dhruve, Under Secretary to the Government, Home Department. Officials indicated that the decision is intended to strengthen administrative efficiency and ensure that senior police officials have adequate infrastructure to carry out official responsibilities until a permanent office arrangement is made.
