Modern tehsil office inaugurated in Dharsiwa to strengthen citizen services

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai says new facility will bring greater transparency and efficiency in revenue administration

Raipur, March 31, 2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Tuesday inaugurated a newly constructed tehsil office at Dharsiwa, describing it as a significant step toward making administrative services more accessible, transparent and citizen-centric.

The modern office building, constructed at a cost of Rs 66.20 lakh, is expected to improve the delivery of revenue services and bring administrative facilities closer to residents of the region.

Addressing the gathering at the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister said the fundamental objective of good governance is to ensure that citizens receive essential services in a timely, simple and transparent manner. He noted that the newly built tehsil office reflects the state government’s commitment to strengthening administrative infrastructure and making governance more responsive to public needs.

“With the opening of this office, residents of the area will experience greater convenience and faster disposal of revenue-related work,” Shri Sai said.

He added that the state government is continuously working to improve the quality of administrative services in both rural and urban areas by strengthening institutional infrastructure. According to him, the government’s aim is to ensure that citizens receive government services efficiently without unnecessary inconvenience.

The newly constructed building has been equipped with several essential administrative units, including a Naib Nazir room, record room, goods storage section, copy branch, Kanungo room and Bhuiyan and land records branch. To further facilitate citizens, the office also houses a Public Service Centre and an Aadhaar service centre.

Basic amenities such as clean drinking water and other public facilities have also been arranged in the building to ensure convenience for visitors.

Officials said the new office will help streamline revenue-related services, improve record management and enhance transparency in administrative processes.

Among those present on the occasion were MLA Anuj Sharma, Divisional Commissioner Mahadev Kavre, Raipur Collector Gaurav Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vishwadeep and District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Kumar Bishwaranjan, along with other public representatives and officials.
