Regular inspections, scientific testing and real-time monitoring help maintain balance between industrial growth and environmental protection
TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 11, 2026: The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board is playing an active role in maintaining environmental balance alongside industrial development across Chhattisgarh through strict monitoring and enforcement of environmental standards.
According to officials, the Board has been conducting regular inspections, scientific assessments and continuous monitoring of various industrial sectors to ensure compliance with environmental norms. These measures are aimed at safeguarding natural resources while supporting sustainable industrial growth in the state.
A key focus area has been the scientific management of fly ash generated by industries. Due to the Board’s vigilant monitoring, fly ash handling in several industrial regions, including Janjgir-Champa district, is being carried out in accordance with prescribed environmental guidelines.
Recently, officials of the Board conducted field inspections at designated sites in the presence of representatives of local Gram Panchayats. During the inspection, the systems for transportation, storage and disposal of fly ash were found to be organised and compliant with established standards.
Officials stated that special emphasis is being placed on transparency and community participation in environmental monitoring. During inspections, strict safety measures are ensured during the transportation of ash to prevent uncontrolled dispersion of dust and particulate matter. Scientific dumping techniques are also being used to protect nearby water bodies and agricultural land from contamination.
The Board has also introduced modern technologies to facilitate real-time monitoring of industrial operations. Continuous surveillance systems, officials said, have strengthened compliance with environmental regulations while also enhancing public confidence regarding environmental safety and public health.
The Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board reiterated that its long-term goal is to build a clean, safe and green future for the state while preserving its natural resources. Through regular reviews, adoption of advanced technologies and effective implementation of environmental policies, the Board continues to work towards strengthening environmental conservation across Chhattisgarh.
