TFP Bureau, Raipur; February 29, 2024: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to uplifting residents of remote areas by distributing solar home lighting systems to 50 students from small hamlets in Konta block, Sukma district. The distribution, held at the Swami Vivekananda Airport premises in Raipur, aims to empower students and enhance educational opportunities in the region.
In his address to the students, Chief Minister Shri Sai
emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring a bright future for children, particularly in tribal-dominated areas like Bastar. He reiterated the government’s focus on inclusive development through initiatives like the ‘Niyad Nella Naar – Apka Accha Gaon Yojana,’ aimed at extending welfare benefits to tribal communities.
Highlighting the importance of education and access to government schemes for tribal communities’ development, Chief Minister Shri Sai stressed the need for well-equipped schools and essential documents like Aadhar and ration cards to enable participation in mainstream development. He emphasized that the progress of Bastar is integral to building a ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh.’
While distributing solar home lighting systems, Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed his hope for a brighter future for the students, enabling them to study better with access to reliable lighting. He encouraged them to seize every opportunity for learning and growth during their visit to Raipur.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma assured students of continued support for better education facilities and urged them to study diligently under the provided solar lights.
The solar home lighting systems distributed to students from villages Purvarti, Silger, and Tekalguda in the Konta development block include a 200-watt solar panel, a 12.28-volt battery, five LED lights, a DC fan, a DTH unit, and a mobile charging unit.
The event saw the presence of Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Singhdeo, Shri Nitin Nabin Sinha, and other public representatives, alongside Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri P. Dayanand, CREDA Chief Executive Officer Shri Rajesh Singh Rana, and Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh.
