CM Sai Stresses Proactive Governance in District Review Meet

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 9, 2025: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai emphasized the need for active, communicative, and solution-oriented administration during a high-level district review meeting held at Mahasamund on Thursday. The meeting was part of the ongoing third phase of Sushasan Tihar — a state-led initiative focused on governance transparency and citizen engagement.

Addressing officials from Mahasamund, Gariaband, and Balodabazar-Bhatapara districts, the Chief Minister said, “A successful officer is not one who simply follows procedure, but one who takes initiative, connects with people, and finds solutions.”

He urged Collectors, SPs, and DFOs to conduct regular field visits and prioritize resolving public grievances. CM Sai reviewed the status of applications submitted during the Sushasan Tihar camps and assessed the implementation of various government flagship schemes in the three districts.

“The goal of Sushasan Tihar is to improve governance by ensuring quick resolution of citizen concerns. Our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, always encourages reaching out to the people to ease their hardships. Officers must approach their responsibilities with humility, dedication, and empathy,” the Chief Minister said.

In light of the approaching summer, CM Sai instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted access to drinking water and electricity. He also directed the revenue department to resolve all cases pending for over three years by March 2026.

Reiterating the importance of housing security, he called for strict monitoring of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to ensure timely delivery of homes. He also addressed concerns over underperforming districts in the recent board examination results, urging officials to work on improving academic outcomes.

The meeting was attended by Mahasamund MP Smt. Roopkumari Chaudhary, In-charge Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel, MLAs Yogeshwar Raju Sinha and Rohit Sahu, Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to CM Subodh Kumar Singh, and other senior administrative and police officials.
