Reviews progress of Marine Drive, New Bus Stand, Kisan Rice Mill Oxyzone and Dudh Dairy Oxyzone; directs officials to ensure quality construction and timely completion of works.
TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 18, 2026: Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary conducted an on-site inspection of several key development projects currently underway in Raigarh city to review the pace of construction and ensure adherence to quality standards.
During the visit, the Finance Minister examined the ongoing works at the Marine Drive project, the upcoming new bus stand, the Oxyzone being developed within the Kisan Rice Mill complex, and the Dudh Dairy Oxyzone. The inspection aimed to assess the progress of these projects and review the arrangements being made to provide improved infrastructure and civic amenities for residents of the city.
While interacting with officials and representatives of the executing agencies, Choudhary directed them to ensure that all projects are completed within the stipulated timelines. He emphasized that strict quality standards must be maintained at every stage of construction and instructed the concerned departments to regularly monitor the works so that delays and technical shortcomings can be avoided.
The Finance Minister stated that the completion of these projects will significantly strengthen Raigarh’s urban infrastructure and provide better public facilities to citizens. He noted that the Marine Drive project is being developed as an attractive recreational and public space where residents can spend leisure time in a well-planned and scenic environment.
He further said that the construction of the new bus stand will greatly improve travel facilities for passengers by providing organized infrastructure, improved waiting areas, and better amenities for commuters and transport operators.
Highlighting the importance of environmental sustainability, Choudhary said the Oxyzone projects at the Kisan Rice Mill complex and Dudh Dairy premises will help create green urban spaces that promote a cleaner and healthier environment. These projects are expected to provide residents with spaces for walking, recreation, and relaxation while also contributing to ecological balance and environmental awareness.
The Finance Minister reiterated that the State Government is committed to enhancing the standard of living of citizens through well-planned development initiatives. He added that continuous monitoring of major infrastructure projects is being undertaken to ensure that the benefits of development reach the public at the earliest.
Officials from concerned departments, local public representatives, engineers, and representatives of the construction agencies were present during the inspection.
