TFP Bureau, Raipur 25 May 2026: Nava Raipur has achieved another major milestone in its industrial growth journey with the approval of its second Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Polymatech Electronics Limited has received approval for setting up an Electronics and Engineering SEZ dedicated to semiconductor and electronics manufacturing over an area of 10.13 hectares in Nava Raipur.
The project gains added significance as Polymatech is establishing Chhattisgarh’s first semiconductor manufacturing plant, marking the state’s entry into one of the world’s most strategic and high-value technology sectors. This landmark investment is expected to position Chhattisgarh as an emerging destination for advanced electronics manufacturing and technology-led industrial growth.
The development of a semiconductor-focused SEZ in Nava Raipur is expected to strengthen Chhattisgarh’s export ecosystem, attract cutting-edge technology investments, integrate the state into global electronics supply chains, and accelerate industrial expansion. It will also create new opportunities for innovation, skilling and high-value employment.
The project is estimated to generate more than 1,300 employment opportunities over the next five years while contributing to the development of a strong ecosystem for high-tech manufacturing and a future-ready skilled workforce in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that this approval reflects the growing confidence of global and national investors in Chhattisgarh’s progressive industrial ecosystem. He said the state government is committed to creating an enabling environment for future-ready industries through policy reforms, robust infrastructure, ease of doing business and transparent governance. “The semiconductor sector represents the future of technology-driven growth. The establishment of Chhattisgarh’s first semiconductor manufacturing unit in Nava Raipur is not merely an industrial investment, but a transformational step that will create high-skilled jobs, strengthen innovation capacity and place Chhattisgarh firmly on India’s high-technology map,” the Chief Minister said.
The approval further reinforces Chhattisgarh’s emergence as a preferred destination for future-ready industries and export-oriented investments. The state has also been recognised as a “High Performer” among landlocked states in the LEADS 2025 Rankings by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Government of India, reflecting its growing strength in logistics efficiency, industrial connectivity and export preparedness. The establishment of this SEZ is expected to catalyse a new era of electronics and semiconductor manufacturing in Chhattisgarh, strengthening Nava Raipur’s position as one of India’s rapidly emerging industrial and technology hubs.
