31 Individual and 14 Community Schemes to Reach Maoist-Affected Villages; Chief Secretary Reviews Implementation Plan
TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 29,2026: The Chhattisgarh Government is set to launch an intensive outreach campaign under the ambitious ‘Niyad Nella Nar 2.0’ initiative to ensure direct delivery of welfare schemes and essential services in Maoist-affected and remote areas of Bastar division.
The new phase of the programme aims to ensure saturation coverage of government welfare schemes in villages that have been freed from Left-Wing Extremism and brought into the administrative mainstream.
A high-level review meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel was held at Mantralaya, Mahanadi Bhawan, on Thursday to discuss implementation strategies for key initiatives including ‘Niyad Nella Nar 2.0’, ‘Bastar Munne’, and ‘Sughghar Chhattisgarh’.
During the meeting, officials reviewed the achievements of the first phase of the scheme, under which 25 beneficiary-oriented schemes and 14 community facilities were extended to villages located near security camps in the districts of Bijapur, Sukma, Dantewada, Kanker, and Narayanpur.
Under the expanded ‘Niyad Nella Nar 2.0’ campaign, the government plans to directly implement 31 individual beneficiary schemes, 14 community development schemes, and 10 essential public services in remote villages.
Officials said detailed data of eligible villagers would be prepared to ensure direct linkage with welfare programmes. Beneficiaries will be connected with schemes such as MGNREGA job cards, old-age pensions, widow pensions, disability pensions, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, ration cards and free ration distribution, Ayushman Bharat cards, Swachh Bharat Mission-Gramin, Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan schemes, Janani Suraksha Yojana, and Mission Indradhanush immunization programme.
The campaign will also cover schemes under the Women and Child Development Department, including Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and Mahtari Vandana Yojana.
Farmers and rural families will additionally be linked to schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card, Soil Health Card programme, and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. School children will receive benefits under Samagra Shiksha, including free textbooks and uniforms, while eligible youth will be connected with skill development initiatives under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
Officials said Aadhaar cards, labour cards, voter identity cards, individual forest rights certificates, and key documents such as caste, domicile, birth, death, and EWS certificates would also be issued during the campaign.
To strengthen infrastructure in remote forest regions, the government plans to establish 14 community facilities including Anganwadi centres, healthcare facilities, fair price shops, roads, mobile connectivity, post offices, Van Dhan Vikas Kendras, Common Service Centres, Panchayat buildings, banks, and new colleges at the block level.
The review meeting was attended by senior officials from multiple departments, including Additional Chief Secretary Richa Sharma, Principal Secretary Niharika Barik Singh, Principal Secretary Sonmani Bora, School Education Secretary Kamalpreet Singh, Finance Secretary Rohit Yadav, and several other departmental secretaries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel directed all departments to ensure timely implementation of the schemes with effective inter-departmental coordination.
