Education, Unity and Values Key to Social Progress: Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary

Minister Inaugurates Community Halls in Janjgir-Champa, Honours Meritorious Students

TFP Bureau, Raipur, May 28,2026: Chhattisgarh Finance Minister O. P. Choudhary on Wednesday said that the progress of society is possible only through education, organization, and strong moral values while addressing social programmes in Kapan and Baloda areas of Janjgir-Champa district.

During his visit, the Finance Minister inaugurated the Regional Assembly-cum-Community Hall of the All India Aghariya Society in Kapan and later inaugurated the ‘Swarn Mandapam’ Community Hall of the Swarnakar Society in the Jangalwa Dabri area of Baloda Nagar Panchayat.

Addressing the gathering in Kapan, O. P. Choudhary emphasized the importance of education in shaping the future of society and encouraged students to strive for excellence. Meritorious students who performed exceptionally in the Class 10 and 12 examinations were honoured during the programme.

“Education is the most powerful medium for the progress of society. The new generation must be empowered through better education, values, and opportunities,” the minister said.

He added that such community events strengthen unity, positive thinking, and social harmony. Referring to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr. Choudhary said the country is steadily moving forward on the path of development with welfare schemes reaching every section of society.

Speaking on the occasion, Saurabh Singh, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation, said the Aghariya community has consistently contributed in the fields of education, agriculture, and social development. He stressed that unity remains the greatest strength of any society.

Former Parliamentary Secretary Ambesh Jangde said the newly constructed community building would serve as a strong platform for social and cultural activities in the region.

Later, while inaugurating the ‘Swarn Mandapam’ community hall in Baloda, the Finance Minister praised the role of the Swarnakar community in social development and community welfare initiatives.

The programme was attended by Member of Parliament Kamlesh Jangde, former MP Kamla Devi Patle, former MLA Chunnilal Sahu, along with public representatives, office-bearers of social organizations, and local residents in large numbers.
