Chief Minister administers Swarna Prashan to children at central convention of Chandranahu Kurmi-Kshatriya community

Highlights importance of Ayurvedic tradition and healthy childhood development

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 7, 2026: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday attended the Central Convention of the Chandranahu (Chandrakar) Kurmi-Kshatriya Community as the chief guest at the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) premises in Village Chhati, Dhamtari district. On this occasion, he visited various exhibition and awareness stalls set up at the convention venue and administered the Swarna Prashan Sanskar to children, conveying the message of a healthy and empowered childhood.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Indian culture has a rich tradition of various Sanskars- sacraments aimed at the holistic development of children. Swarna Prashan is one such important Sanskar, which finds mention in Ayurveda. It is considered beneficial for the physical, mental, and intellectual development of children, as well as for strengthening their immunity.

Swarna Prashan is an important Ayurvedic Sanskar for children, traditionally believed to support overall health and strengthen immunity. It is regarded as a traditional form of Ayurvedic immunization aimed at enhancing disease resistance.

During the convention, the Chief Minister met with office-bearers and representatives of the community and discussed social unity, education, healthcare, and the preservation of cultural values. He appreciated the efforts being made by the community for the holistic development of children and youth.

On this occasion, Kurud MLA Shri Ajay Chandrakar, Shri Vinod Chandrakar, Shri Poonam Chandrakar, the Community’s Central President Shri Dinesh Chandrakar, along with community office-bearers, public representatives, and a large number of community members, were present.
