Vikas Sheel directs departments to focus on priority projects, maintain updated vacancy data and ensure timely implementation of flagship initiatives
TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 8,2026 : Chief Secretary Shri Vikas Sheel on Monday reviewed the progress of major government schemes and departmental initiatives during a high-level meeting with secretaries of various state government departments at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan.
During the review meeting, the Chief Secretary directed officials to accord top priority to projects and programmes that are of strategic importance to the state government. He emphasized the need for continuous monitoring to ensure effective implementation and timely completion of departmental schemes.
Shri Sheel sought detailed updates on several key governance and public service initiatives, including e-Office, e-Attendance, Public Service Guarantee, Niyad Nellanar Dashboard, PM PRAGATI Portal, e-Pragati CG State Portal, TB-Mukt Bharat, Seva Setu and PM Surya Ghar Bijli Yojana.
The Chief Secretary instructed officials to regularly track the progress of these flagship programmes and ensure that all relevant data is updated accurately. He also directed departments to maintain comprehensive and up-to-date information regarding vacant posts and manpower requirements.
During the meeting, Shri Sheel reviewed the status of recruitment-related activities and sought information from General Administration Department officials regarding the progress of work being undertaken by the Staff Selection Board.
The review was attended by senior bureaucrats, including Additional Chief Secretary (Forest and Climate Change) Shri Manoj Pingua, Additional Chief Secretary (Panchayat and Rural Development) Smt. Richa Sharma, Principal Secretary (Home and Jail) Smt. Niharika Barik Singh, Principal Secretary (Law and Legislative Affairs) Smt. Sushma Sawant, and Principal Secretary (Women and Child Development) Smt. Shahla Nigar.
Also present were Secretary to the Chief Minister and Secretary (Mineral Resources) Shri P. Dayanand, Secretary (Finance and Public Relations) Dr. Rohit Yadav, Secretary (School Education) Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Secretary (General Administration and Commerce & Industries) Shri Rajat Kumar, Secretary (Transport) Shri S. Prakash, Secretary (Higher Education and Public Grievance Redressal) Shri Avinash Champawat, Secretary (Food, Civil Supplies, Consumer Protection and Commercial Tax-Excise) Ms. Reena Baba Saheb Kangale, Secretary (Urban Administration and Development) Ms. R. Secretaries and senior officers from various departments, including Skill Development, Technical Education and Employment, Water Resources, and Revenue and Disaster Management, also participated in the review meeting.
