VB G Ram Ji Scheme to Launch on July 1; Atmosphere of Enthusiasm in Rural Area’s

TFP Bureau, Raipur, June 24, 2026: A widespread public awareness campaign is underway across the state regarding the ‘VB G Ram Ji’ (Viksit Bharat Guarantee Employment and Livelihood Mission-Rural) scheme, which is set to be launched by the state government on July 1, 2026, with the aim of providing new livelihood and employment opportunities to rural families. Under the guidance of the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, continuous training sessions, meetings, and Gram Sabhas are being organized at the Gram Panchayat, Janpad Panchayat, and district levels to inform villagers about the scheme’s various provisions and benefits.

*Villagers Form Human Chains in Sankara and Deori

Villagers are showing great enthusiasm for the scheme. Large numbers of villagers participated in Gram Sabhas held across various villages to learn about the scheme and pledged their support for its successful implementation. As part of this effort, villagers in the Sankara and Deori Gram Panchayats of Berla Janpad Panchayat (Bemetara district) took a unique initiative to publicize the scheme by forming human chains. Holding placards with awareness-raising messages, they encouraged people to join the scheme with slogans such as “VB G Ram Ji – Village progress is everyone’s responsibility,” “A new source of strength for employment and livelihood,” and “Prosperous village, empowered family.”

Union Rural Development Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan also posted on his ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) account, stating that seeing this image from the Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh filled his heart with joy and enthusiasm. This image symbolizes the awareness and self-confidence of the rural population. The Union Ministry of Rural Development also commended these efforts by Bemetara district in a post on its X handle, noting that the formation of this human chain serves as a symbol of public awareness regarding the scheme.

*Pledge to ensure benefits reach eligible families and spread awareness

Through the human chain, villagers conveyed the message that the scheme is not merely a government program but a significant campaign involving public participation towards rural development and self-reliance. On this occasion, villagers also pledged to ensure that eligible families receive the scheme’s benefits and to disseminate information about it to as many people as possible.

During the Gram Sabhas, officials explained that the VB-Jiramji scheme would provide employment and livelihood opportunities to eligible rural families. The scheme aims to generate employment and boost economic activities in rural areas, thereby increasing the income of rural households. Extensive preparations are underway at the Panchayat level to ensure the scheme’s effective implementation.

*Training for everyone: from officials to public representatives and beneficiaries

In accordance with the action plan formulated by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, a target has been set to complete the training of all officials, employees, public representatives, and beneficiaries at the Panchayat, Block, and District levels by June 30, 2026. Training programs are being organized in various phases to prevent any hurdles in implementation and to ensure that eligible families receive benefits in a timely manner.

*Direct benefits for lakhs of rural families in the state starting July 1

Various channels—including Gram Sabhas, community gatherings (*chaupals*), posters, banners, public announcements (*munadi*), mobile publicity vans (*rath*), and digital media—are being utilized to publicize the scheme. Meanwhile, Sarpanchs, secretaries, employment assistants, women from self-help groups, public representatives, and local social organizations are actively engaged in informing people about the scheme. Villagers are hopeful that this scheme will play a pivotal role in creating new employment and livelihood opportunities in villages while strengthening the rural economy. With the scheme’s launch on July 1, lakhs of rural families across the state are expected to receive direct benefits.

Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma went live on his Facebook account on Tuesday to inform the public about the upcoming Gram Sabha and the VB Jiramji initiative. He encouraged people to avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits and also addressed their queries.
