TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 6, 2025: On the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai launched the trailer of the upcoming Chhattisgarhi family film Suhaag at his residence office. Congratulating the film’s cast and crew, including noted actor, MLA, and Padma Shri awardee Shri Anuj Sharma, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the film would strengthen the cultural fabric of the state.
“A family film is coming to Chhattisgarhi cinema after a long time, and Suhaag beautifully captures the emotional essence of family, culture, and tradition,” said CM Sai. He added that the film not only reflects the state’s traditional lifestyle and values but also builds an emotional connect with audiences.
The Chief Minister highlighted the state’s growing prominence in the film industry. “Chhattisgarh is steadily emerging as a favourite destination for film production. With a rise in locally shot films and web series, the state government is committed to supporting the creative industry and offering new opportunities to the youth,” he said.
Actor and MLA Shri Anuj Sharma shared details about the film’s message and storyline and informed the Chief Minister that Suhaag will be released in theatres across the state on April 18. He also extended a personal invitation to the Chief Minister to attend the premiere.
Present at the launch event were producer Shri Chandrashekhar Tiwari, co-producer Shri Loknath Diwan, writer-director Shri Rahul Thawait, and cast member Shri Siddhant. Actress Ms. Anikriti Chauhan will be seen alongside Anuj Sharma for the first time in this emotional family drama, titled Suhaag – Vachan Mein Bandhe Maya Ke Kahani. Sharma’s performance in the film has already drawn praise for its emotional depth and authenticity.
Also in attendance were MLA Shri Purandar Mishra; Ms. Mona Sen, Chairperson of the Chhattisgarh State Hair Stylist Welfare Board; Mrs. Shalini Rajput, Chairperson of the State Social Welfare Board; Vice President Mrs. Chandrakant Verma; and Mr. Jitendra Kumar Sahu, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Oil Ghani Development Board.
