CM Sai Begins Day Two of Chintan Shivir 3.0 with Yoga, Tree Plantation Drive

Chief Minister urges healthy living and environmental conservation as ministers participate in yoga session and ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign at IIM Nava Raipur

TFP Bureau,  Raipur, July 5,2026: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai began the second day of Chintan Shivir 3.0 on Sunday with a yoga session and a tree plantation drive at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Nava Raipur, underscoring the importance of healthy living, disciplined governance and environmental conservation.

The Chief Minister, accompanied by members of the Council of Ministers, participated in a special yoga session at the institute’s Sports Complex, describing yoga as an invaluable part of India’s ancient knowledge tradition that promotes physical fitness, mental well-being and a balanced lifestyle.

Addressing the participants, Sai urged people to incorporate yoga into their daily routine, saying physical and mental fitness are essential for good governance and effective decision-making. He said the day at Chintan Shivir was intentionally launched with a yoga session to infuse positive energy and improve focus during deliberations on key development issues. The collective session, he added, also conveyed the message of discipline, healthy living and positive thinking.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, Industries Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma, Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade, Tourism Minister Rajesh Agrawal, School Education Minister Gajendra Yadav and officials of IIM Raipur also took part in the yoga session.

Later, the Chief Minister planted a sapling under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign on the IIM campus. Members of the Council of Ministers also participated in the plantation drive, reaffirming the government’s commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development.

Sai said the campaign is a meaningful initiative that combines environmental conservation with social responsibility. He appealed to people across the state to actively participate by planting trees and said the government is promoting public participation-based environmental initiatives to build a greener, cleaner and more developed Chhattisgarh.

The twin initiatives marked the beginning of the second day’s proceedings at Chintan Shivir 3.0, with the state leadership emphasising both personal well-being and ecological responsibility as integral to the state’s development agenda.
