CM Vishnudev Sai Performs Bhoomi Pujan for Late Jagdev Ram Oraon Kalyan Ashram Hospital

TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 7, 2025: Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today performed the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony for the construction of the Late Jagdev Ram Oraon Kalyan Ashram Hospital in Jashpur. The hospital will be constructed with a generous contribution of Rs 35 crore 53 lakh from the CSR fund of NTPC Lara. The Chief Minister paid tribute to Lord Shri Ram, Bharat Mata, Birsa Munda, and the late tribal leaders Jagdev Ram Oraon and Bala Saheb Deshpande during the ceremony.

The new hospital, a 100-bed facility, will be equipped with modern healthcare amenities such as 15 OPDs, 4 ICUs, 4 operation theatres, physiotherapy units, pathology labs, CT scans, dialysis, X-rays, MRI, ECG, and emergency services. The hospital will cater to the healthcare needs of Jashpur residents and surrounding rural areas.

On the occasion, CM Vishnudev Sai acknowledged the invaluable contributions of late tribal leaders Jagdev Ram Oraon, Bala Saheb Deshpande, and Kumar Dilip Singh Judev in uplifting the tribal communities. He emphasized that the hospital reflects the government’s deep commitment to the health and well-being of the tribal population.

Further, Chief Minister Sai highlighted several welfare measures undertaken by his government, including the establishment of a medical college, physiotherapy and nursing colleges, and a naturopathy center in Jashpur district. He also mentioned initiatives such as the Mahtari Vandan Yojana for women empowerment and the Dharti Aba Janjati Gram Utkarsh Yojana for the development of tribal areas.

‘Sevakur Bharat: Ek Saptah Desh Ke Naam’ Program Celebrated in Tribal Areas

The Chief Minister also launched the ‘Sevakur Bharat: Ek Saptah Desh Ke Naam’ program, aimed at providing healthcare services to tribal areas. The initiative, organized by Sevakur Bharat, includes medical camps and health consultations in tribal communities. This program is running from April 5 to 13, with teams of doctors and medical professionals working on the ground to address the health concerns of tribal populations. The program, which has been an annual tradition since 2016, also promotes the study of tribal culture and lifestyle to better understand their medical needs.

Notable guests at the event included Vice President of the Sarguja Area Tribal Development Authority Mrs. Gomti Sai, MLA Raimuni Bhagat, President of All India Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram Mr. Satyendra Kumar Singh, District Panchayat President Mr. Salik Sai, and several other public representatives and officials.
