TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 14, 2025: The Career Development Conclave 2.0: Navigating New Vistas at Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) concluded its six-month journey with a grand Valedictory ceremony on April 12, 2025. Organized by HNLU’s Internship & Recruitment Committee in collaboration with R-HaS and CG-Learn, the conclave welcomed over 75 distinguished professionals, creating a transformative experience for students by connecting them with renowned experts in the field of law.
The event marked the culmination of 21 engaging sessions, including two Global Colloquiums, featuring more than 30 top-tier legal professionals from over 30 prestigious law firms. The conclave provided valuable insights into diverse legal fields, including International Business Law, Technology and Media Law, IP Litigation, WTO, and more. These sessions offered a unique opportunity for students to gain insights into both domestic and international legal landscapes.
Inspirational Addresses from Distinguished Guests
The Valedictory ceremony was graced by Shri S. Ramesh, IRS (Retd.), Former Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC), and Ms. Jahnavi Upadhyay, Vice President (Global Legal) at Accenture, Delhi. Shri S. Ramesh shared four decades of experience in economic reforms and regulatory innovations, stressing the critical role students will play as future architects of law. He lauded CDC 2.0 as a “harbinger of change” and commended HNLU for its efforts in curating world-class sessions that broaden students’ career horizons.
Ms. Jahnavi Upadhyay, in her address, encouraged students to embrace authenticity and approach life with sincerity, emphasizing the importance of perception in shaping one’s career. She inspired the audience with her words: “Be present. Be authentic. And remember, perception matters – both how the world sees you and how you choose to see the world.”
A Bridge Between Academia and Professional Life
Prof. (Dr.) V.C. Vivekanandan noted that the second edition of the CDC successfully bridged the gap between academia and the professional world, enhancing student visibility and creating new avenues for career development. The conclave attracted over 300 registered participants from both HNLU and the wider CG-Learn network, showcasing its significant impact and reach.
The event also featured the release of the CDC 2.0 Compendium, a detailed chronicle of the sessions and insights shared over the course of the conclave. Furthermore, it was announced that Day Zero for Batch 2026 would take place on August 11, 2025, marking the start of new professional journeys for HNLU’s aspiring legal minds.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from Mr. Mayank Shrivastava, Co-Coordinator of the Career Development Conclave, who acknowledged the contributions of students, faculty, and staff in making the conclave a resounding success.
