Finance Minister felicitates outstanding Common Service Centre operators, says expanding digital services is key to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat and Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision-2047
TFP Bureau, Raipur, July 31,2026: Chhattisgarh Finance Minister OP Choudhary on Friday said the Digital India initiative has transformed the country’s global image and that Common Service Centres (CSCs) have emerged as the true architects of India’s digital revolution by delivering government services to citizens at the grassroots.
Addressing the “17 Years of Progress with Purpose” celebration organised by the Common Service Centre (CSC) in Raipur, the Finance Minister honoured outstanding CSC operators with certificates of appreciation for their contribution to expanding digital governance and public service delivery across the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Choudhary said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has established itself as one of the world’s leading digital economies. He noted that digital technology has made governance more transparent, efficient and accessible, ensuring that government services reach even the last person in society.
Congratulating Chhattisgarh’s nearly 38,000 registered CSC operators and their teams, the Finance Minister said their dedicated efforts have enabled more than three crore citizens of the state to access a wide range of government services in a simple, transparent and time-bound manner. He described CSCs as the true embodiment of a “single-window system”, providing services related to revenue, labour, electricity, Ayushman Bharat, banking and several other departments under one roof.
Recalling the launch of the Digital India Mission in 2015, Choudhary said many had initially questioned its success, but India today stands as a global model in digital payments, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions and technology-enabled governance. He said extending digital services to rural areas has significantly reduced the digital divide and strengthened inclusive development.
The Finance Minister said the vision of a developed India goes beyond economic growth and focuses on ensuring that the benefits of development reach every citizen. Inspired by this principle of Antyodaya, he said the Chhattisgarh government under Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has prepared the “Chhattisgarh Anjor Vision-2047” to align the state’s development roadmap with the national vision of Viksit Bharat.
Highlighting the role of technology in improving governance, Choudhary said the Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) architecture and the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system have significantly reduced leakages and corruption by ensuring that benefits under schemes such as Mahtari Vandan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana are transferred directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts. He said CSCs have become a vital link in ensuring seamless implementation of these initiatives.
The Minister also highlighted the growing role of Atal Digital Suvidha Kendras in expanding digital access across rural Chhattisgarh. He said the state government plans to integrate additional government services with CSCs while strengthening infrastructure in Gram Panchayats under the “Viksit Bharat G-Ram-G” campaign to make public service delivery more efficient and accessible.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening the CSC network, Choudhary said new departmental services would continue to be integrated with CSCs, alongside improved rural infrastructure, enabling citizens to avail themselves of a wider range of public services at a single location.
The event concluded with the Finance Minister congratulating the CSC fraternity on completing 17 years of service and assuring operators of the state government’s continued support in further strengthening digital governance and citizen-centric service delivery.
