Students Can Apply for Scanned Answer Sheets Till August 9; Verification and Re-evaluation Window Opens August 16
TFP Bureau, New Delhi, August 6, 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued detailed guidelines for the post-result process for Class 10 students, outlining the procedure for obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets, verification of marks, and re-evaluation of answers for both the main and second board examinations.
The Board announced that students who appeared in the Class 10 main examination, whose results were declared on April 15, 2026, as well as those who appeared in the second board examination, the results of which were announced on July 18, 2026, are now eligible to avail themselves of the post-result facilities.
According to the revised guidelines, students must first obtain a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheet before applying for either verification of marks or re-evaluation. Only candidates who have accessed the scanned answer sheet through the official process will be eligible to seek further review of their results.
Students who appeared only in the main examination can apply for scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets for any subject. Those who appeared in both the main and second examinations may request scanned copies of answer sheets from both examinations.
The Board has introduced a three-stage post-result process comprising access to scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets, verification of marks, and re-evaluation of one or more answers.
Applications for scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets will be accepted from August 5 to August 9, 2026, at a fee of ₹300 per subject. The scanned copies will be made available through candidates’ individual CBSE login accounts, enabling students to review the evaluation and marks awarded before deciding whether to seek further review.
The application window for verification of marks and re-evaluation will remain open from August 16 to August 19, 2026. CBSE has fixed the verification fee at ₹300 per answer book, while re-evaluation of individual questions will cost ₹100 per question.
The Board further clarified that if a student’s marks increase after verification or re-evaluation, the fee paid for the process will be refunded to the same bank account or payment mode used for the original transaction.
CBSE has advised students to carefully verify all information before submitting their applications online and to complete each stage of the process within the prescribed timelines. The Board emphasized that obtaining the scanned copy of the evaluated answer sheet is mandatory before applying for verification of marks or re-evaluation.
