Saurabh Singh Thakur posted as Deputy Director of Surguja Elephant Reserve; Dinesh Kumar Patel gets charge of Achanakmar Tiger Reserve
TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 21,2026: The Chhattisgarh Government has issued an administrative reshuffle involving nine Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers, assigning them new postings with immediate effect on a temporary basis until further orders.
According to an order issued by the Forest and Climate Change Department on August 21, Saurabh Singh Thakur (2017 batch), currently Deputy Director of Guru Ghasidas Tiger Reserve, Baikunthpur, has been posted as Deputy Director of the Elephant Reserve, Surguja, Ambikapur.
Dinesh Kumar Patel (2018), presently Divisional Forest Officer (Regional), Mohla, has been appointed Deputy Director of Achanakmar Tiger Reserve, Lormi. Ganesh U.R. (2019), who was serving as Deputy Director of Achanakmar Tiger Reserve, Bilaspur, has been posted as Divisional Forest Officer, Research and Extension Forest Division, Bilaspur, with additional charge as Director of the Achanakmar-Amarkantak Biosphere Reserve, Bilaspur.
Abhinav Kumar (2021), currently DFO (Regional), Mungeli, has been transferred as DFO (Regional), Mohla, while S. Naveen Kumar (2022), Director of Kanger Valley National Park, Jagdalpur, has been posted as DFO (Regional), West Bhanupratappur.
Gautam Padibhar (2023), presently Sub-Divisional Forest Officer, Gaurela Forest Division, Marwahi, has been appointed Director of Kanger Valley National Park, Jagdalpur. Shweta Kamboj (2023), currently SDFO, Ambikapur Forest Division, has been posted as Deputy Director of Guru Ghasidas Tiger Reserve, Baikunthpur.
The reshuffle also includes Sumedh Sanjay Survane (2023), currently SDFO, Sukma Forest Division, who has been posted as Deputy Director of Indravati Tiger Reserve, Bijapur. Tanmay Kaushik (2023), presently SDFO, Raigarh Forest Division, has been appointed DFO (Regional), Mungeli.
The order further states that Stailo Mandavi (2011), who was holding additional responsibilities as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Field Director, Indravati Tiger Reserve, Jagdalpur, along with additional charge of PCCF (Regional), Jagdalpur, will be relieved of all additional charges except PCCF (Regional), Jagdalpur, from the date of joining of Uttam Kumar Gupta.
