Posting orders issued within two days of Supreme Court clearance; selected candidates directed to join within 15 days
TFP Bureau, Raipur, August 24, 2026: The Chhattisgarh Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department has issued appointment and posting orders for 111 Sub-Engineers, including 101 Civil Engineers and 10 Electrical/Mechanical Engineers.
The appointments were made within two days of the Supreme Court resolving the stay-related matter on August 20. Acting on the directions of Deputy Chief Minister and Public Health Engineering Minister Arun Sao, the department issued posting orders on August 22 in accordance with the recommended selection list from the first phase.
All selected candidates have been directed to report for duty at their respective offices within 15 days of the issuance of the appointment orders. The department has clarified that failure to join within the stipulated period will lead to automatic cancellation of the appointment.
The recruitment process began with a written examination conducted by the Professional Examination Board (Vyapam) in April 2025 for 118 Sub-Engineer (Civil) and 10 Sub-Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) posts. Following the declaration of results, document verification and counselling for posting preferences were conducted in July 2025 on the basis of the Vyapam merit list.
However, the appointment process was delayed due to a stay order in the Supreme Court. Following the resolution of the matter on August 20, the PHE Department moved swiftly to complete the pending recruitment process and issue posting orders.
Welcoming the recruitment of a large number of young engineers, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said their induction would provide fresh technical expertise and further accelerate departmental activities, particularly under the Jal Jeevan Mission and other ongoing projects.
Sao said the department acted promptly after the Supreme Court resolved the matter, ensuring that the selected candidates could join their respective assignments without further delay. He added that the technical expertise and energy of the newly appointed engineers would strengthen the department’s implementation capacity.
The department has instructed all selected candidates to produce the original copies of their educational qualification certificates, permanent caste certificates, domicile certificates, health certificates issued by a competent medical board and other required documents at the time of joining.
Candidates are also required to submit their original technical qualification certificates along with either the Class 10 mark sheet mentioning their date of birth or an original birth certificate. Click here to see the order 👇
