Three-day programme focuses on grassroots organisation, strengthening workers’ role and effectively raising public issues
TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 6, 2026: The Chhattisgarh Congress has launched a three-day training camp for Block Congress Presidents and District Master Trainers from the Durg Division as part of its Organization Building Campaign.
The training programme was inaugurated in the presence of State Congress President Deepak Baij, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant, former Chief Ministers Bhupesh Baghel and T.S. Singh Deo, former Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, and party co-in-charge Secretaries S. Sampath and Vijay Jangid.
State Congress General Secretary (in-charge) Malkit Singh Gaidu welcomed the dignitaries by presenting them with flower bouquets.
Focus on Strengthening Grassroots Organisation
The training sessions focused on strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots level, enhancing the role and responsibilities of Congress workers, and developing effective mechanisms to raise issues concerning the public.
On the opening day, former Deputy Chief Minister T.S. Singh Deo, former Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Training In-charge Yugal Pandey and Connect Cent Co-Chairman Ashok Chaturvedi addressed the participants on various organisational and campaign-related subjects.
The Congress has already completed a similar training programme for Block Presidents of the Bastar Division. Following the Durg Division camp, training programmes will be conducted for Block Presidents from the Bilaspur, Sarguja and Raipur divisions as part of the organisation-building initiative.
