Teachers from 45 government schools felicitated for their contribution to education, community development and nation-building
TFP Bureau, Ambikapur, September 11, 2026: Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) honoured 150 teachers from 45 government schools across 15 villages in the Parsa project area on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, recognising their contribution to education and their role in shaping the future of students and society.
The “Guru Samman” programme was organised at Adani Vidya Mandir, Salhi, as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Teachers and students from schools across the project-affected and surrounding villages participated enthusiastically in the programme, which highlighted the importance of stronger engagement among schools, communities and other stakeholders.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a welcome song and cultural performances presented by students. A student, Iram, also spoke about the life and contributions of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India and eminent educationist, whose birth anniversary is observed as Teachers’ Day.
Addressing the gathering, Cluster HR Head Ram Dwivedi said teachers do more than impart academic knowledge, as they also instil values, build confidence and inspire students to aspire for a better future. He emphasised that teachers play a crucial role in strengthening society and contributing to nation-building.
During the programme, Cluster HR Head and Associate General Manager Lt. Col. Abhijit felicitated 150 teachers for their significant contribution to education. The teachers represented 45 government schools in Parsa, Salhi, Basen, Chakeri, Ghatbarra, Fattehpur, Tara, Janardanpur, Shivnagar, Gumga, Saidu, Suskam, Parogia, Sarma and Pendrikhi.
Several education officials and school representatives attended the event, including Rajkumar Chandra, CAC and Principal, Government High School, Parsa; Sunil Kumar Yadav, CAC, Pendrikhi; Ved Prakash Dewangan, CAC, Tara; Vijay Kumar Yadav, CAC, Gumga; and Satyendra Nath Yogi, CRC, Ghatbarra.
Speaking on the occasion, Satyendra Nath Yogi described the felicitation of government school teachers as a commendable initiative. He said such programmes not only recognise the contribution of teachers but also strengthen coordination between schools, communities and other stakeholders. Teachers, he added, play the role of architects of the nation’s future by guiding students towards becoming responsible and successful citizens.
RRVUNL is undertaking several initiatives aimed at strengthening education in the Parsa project area. These include competitive coaching centres to prepare students for entrance examinations for institutions such as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Prayas, Eklavya and Sainik Schools.
The company is also supporting quality education through Adani Vidya Mandir and strengthening infrastructure in government schools by providing study materials, desks and benches, water filters, sports equipment and sanitation facilities.
According to the company, these education-focused initiatives are benefiting more than 80 schools and over 5,000 students in the region.
The Guru Samman programme served not only as an expression of gratitude towards teachers but also highlighted the importance of education and community participation in building stronger and more empowered communities.
