India’s BRICS chairmanship reflects its growing global stature and leadership capabilities: Chief Minister*
TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 13, 2026: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that, under the strong and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has emerged as a credible and influential global power. The country’s BRICS chairmanship in 2026 and its hosting of the 18th BRICS Summit reflect India’s growing global stature and its ability to provide leadership on the world stage.
Describing the occasion as a matter of pride for every Indian, Shri Sai said India, under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s leadership, is firmly advancing its national interests while ensuring that the aspirations of developing countries and the Global South receive a strong voice on international platforms.
Shri Sai said India’s BRICS chairmanship, under the theme “Building Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainability,” presents an important opportunity to give new direction to global cooperation, innovation and sustainable development. India’s approach has always been to take the world along and create new pathways for shared progress.
The Chief Minister said India has maintained a clear and firm stand against terrorism on international platforms. He added that the country’s experience in transforming the lives of ordinary citizens through digital public infrastructure, financial inclusion and technology has become a source of inspiration for the world. Platforms such as BRICS, he said, provide an important avenue for sharing these experiences and exploring new possibilities for development.
He said India’s expanding role in global affairs is opening new opportunities in investment, technology, innovation and employment for the country and its states. Chhattisgarh, too, is advancing rapidly towards building a developed Chhattisgarh, in line with the resolve of a developed India.
Congratulating Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and extending his best wishes on India’s BRICS chairmanship, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that India’s leadership will contribute to strengthening global cooperation, amplifying the voice of the Global South and opening new avenues for shared prosperity.
