TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 26, 2026: Anganwadi centres across Chhattisgarh witnessed a festive atmosphere on the first day of ‘Aangan Milan Seva’, which began on Friday under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. A total of 12,698 activities were organised at 2,262 locations across the state, with 97,471 people participating. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai also attended the Aangan Milan Seva programme in Madku, Mungeli district, and conveyed the message of proper nutrition for mothers and children.
Anganwadi centres welcomed pregnant women. Families learned about balanced diets through displays of locally available nutritious food items, pulses, and green vegetables. Through the ‘Suposhit Thali’, women learned how including a variety of food items in everyday meals can help improve the nutrition of mothers and children. Parents of children also participated in the programmes and shared their experiences related to nutrition and maternal health.
Beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana said the assistance received under these schemes is helping them meet their own and their families’ needs. Through Aangan Milan Seva, the focus was on connecting families and communities with Anganwadi centres and making children’s nutrition a shared responsibility.
