Venue inspection focuses on exhibition, cultural events, parking, security, traffic management and visitor facilities
TFP Bureau, Raipur, September 29,2026: Senior officials on Tuesday inspected the venue of the upcoming Chhattisgarh State Festival (Rajyotsav) at the Dr Syama Prasad Mukherjee Industry and Trade Complex Fair Ground in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar and reviewed preparations for the event.
The inspection was carried out following directions from Chief Secretary Vikas Sheel. Tourism and Culture Secretary S. Bharathidasan, Collector Gaurav Singh and other senior officials reviewed arrangements at the venue and discussed measures to ensure that preparations are completed within the stipulated timeframe.
Focus on venue infrastructure
The officials reviewed arrangements for the exhibition centre, cultural programme venue, Shilpgram, administrative building, helipad, parking areas, food and entertainment zones, main entrance and bus stop.
Discussions covered site levelling, use of JCB machines, lighting, sanitation, seating arrangements and installation of stalls. Officials were directed to coordinate with the concerned departments and complete the work in a time-bound manner.
Security and traffic management reviewed
Raipur Rural Superintendent of Police Shweta Srivastava Sinha held discussions with the Tourism and Culture Secretary and Collector on security arrangements, traffic management and crowd control.
The officials reviewed police deployment, vehicle movement within parking areas and arrangements at the main entry and exit points. Measures to facilitate the smooth movement of visitors and prevent congestion were also discussed.
CSIDC Managing Director Vishvesh Jha, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sambit Mishra, Tourism Board Managing Director Saumil Ranjan Chaubey, Additional District Magistrate Umashankar Bande and representatives of the Nava Raipur Development Authority and other departments were present during the inspection.
Officials stressed that all departments should work in coordination to ensure timely completion of arrangements, with particular attention to the safety, convenience and smooth movement of visitors during the State Festival.
