TFP Bureau, Raipur; July 30 2024: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai warmly welcomed the newly appointed Governor, Ramen Deka, and his wife, Rani Deka Kakoti, upon their arrival at the State Hangar in Chhattisgarh. During the welcome ceremony, Governor Deka remarked on Chhattisgarh’s rapid progress and expressed his commitment to furthering the state’s development. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his appointment, pledging to serve as a bridge between the central and state governments.
Deka also emphasized his intention to promote cultural exchange between Assam and Chhattisgarh, making state development his top priority. Assembly Speaker Raman Singh greeted Deka with a bouquet, and several cabinet ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam, and others, were present to extend their welcome.
Upon arrival, Governor Deka received a Guard of Honour and was welcomed with traditional Chhattisgarhi dances, including Sua, Karma, Danda, and Raut Nacha. Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain and Director General of Police Ashok Juneja, were also in attendance.
Oath Ceremony on July 31
Ramen Deka will take the oath as the tenth Governor of Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, July 31, at 10:15 AM in the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhawan. The Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, Ramesh Sinha, will administer the oath.
