Specialists in five medical disciplines conduct consultations and distribute medicines; initiative aims to improve access to healthcare in rural communities
TFP Bureau, Raipur, November 7, 2026: A total of 375 villagers received free medical consultations, health check-ups and medicines at a multi-specialty health camp organised by the Adani Foundation in Mohrenga village on Thursday.
The camp was organised as part of the community outreach initiatives of Adani Power Limited, Raipur, with the aim of bringing specialist healthcare services closer to rural residents who often face difficulties accessing medical facilities and expert advice.
Doctors specialising in orthopaedics, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, gastroenterology and general medicine examined patients and provided consultations based on their health conditions. Necessary medicines were also distributed free of cost.
Women, children, senior citizens and young people participated in the camp. The initiative enabled villagers to consult specialists in their own locality and receive advice on timely treatment and healthcare.
The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Mohrenga Sarpanch Shyama Bai Dhiwar, Janpad Panchayat Chairperson Lekhuram Sen, Deputy Sarpanch Krishna Kurre, Gram Sabha President Thanwar Sinha and other panchayat representatives and community members.
Local representatives and residents appreciated the initiative, emphasising the importance of making specialist medical services accessible in rural and remote areas. They said such camps also help improve health awareness among communities.
Adani Foundation representatives said the organisation regularly conducts healthcare initiatives to improve access to medical consultations, treatment and essential medicines in surrounding villages.
Apart from healthcare, Adani Power Limited undertakes community development programmes in nearby areas, focusing on education, livelihood enhancement and infrastructure development.
