TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 20, 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat participated in the Dharmaraksha Mahayagya and Vedic Sanatan Sanskriti Sammelan held at DDU Auditorium in Raipur on the 200th birth anniversary of social reformer Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati and the 150th foundation year of Arya Samaj.
The event began with a traditional havan-puja performed by the Chief Minister as part of the Dharmaraksha Yagna, invoking prayers for the well-being of the state. A special booklet titled “Challenges Ka Chintan”, prepared by the Chhattisgarh Provincial Arya Pratinidhi Sabha, was also unveiled during the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Sai hailed Arya Samaj’s 150-year legacy of social reform, religious awareness, and cultural preservation. “Arya Samaj has consistently worked for public awareness and national service. Inspired by Maharishi Dayanand’s thoughts, I have been associated with Arya Samaj since 1999,” he shared. He also highlighted the organization’s contribution to education and social values.
CM Sai also emphasized the importance of natural farming and native cattle breeds, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. “The state government is committed to promoting indigenous practices and has fulfilled many of Modi ji’s guarantees,” he said, citing housing for the poor and welfare schemes such as the Tirtha Darshan Yojana and Ramlala Darshan Yatra.
Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat paid tribute to Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, describing his philosophy as a roadmap to physical, mental, and social upliftment. “By adopting organic farming and scientifically managing cow rearing, we can build a healthier and more conscious society,” he said, adding that such efforts would also address the issue of stray cattle.
The event saw the presence of several dignitaries and spiritual leaders, including Yoga Commission Chairman Roop Narayan Sinha, Gau Seva Commission Chairman Visheshwar Patel, Swami Dharmanand Saraswati, Captain Rudra Sen, Vinay Arya, and other prominent members and followers of Arya Samaj.
