TFP Bureau, Raipur, April 22, 2025: In view of the intense heatwave conditions prevailing across the state, the Chhattisgarh School Education Department has advanced the summer vacation for all government, aided, non-aided, and private schools. According to an official order issued on Monday, the vacation will now commence from April 25, 2025, instead of the earlier scheduled May 1, and will continue till June 15, 2025.
The decision was taken to safeguard the health and well-being of students, as temperatures across the region continue to soar. The revised schedule applies to all categories of schools operating within the state.
However, the order also clarified that this change will not be applicable to teaching staff, who will continue to follow the previous guidelines as mentioned in the department’s earlier notification dated September 20, 2024. All other provisions of the original order remain unchanged.
The directive, issued in the name of the Governor of Chhattisgarh, was signed by R.P. Verma, Under Secretary, School Education Department.
The move has been widely welcomed by parents and school administrators concerned about student safety during the extreme summer conditions.
